In Good Company guests share best practices for supporting women in tech, discuss how companies can address a gender inequality problem, and share their own strategies for career growth.

Gender inequality continues to be a problem in the tech industry. By 2020 there will be 1.4 million jobs in computing related fields, yet women are on track to fill justthree percentof those jobs. The percentage of all computer science graduates who are women has dropped significantly since the 1980s, and research shows many women are leaving tech careers after just a few years.

Yet change can happen, and businesses share responsibility for driving that change. In this episode of In Good Company, we brought together four female executives—Olga Braylovskiy from Intuit, Vicki Huff Eckert from PwC, and Leighanne Levensaler and Christine Cefalo from Workday—to share best practices on how companies can attract more women into technology roles and better support women as they build their careers. They discuss why the female perspective is important for innovation, and steps companies can take to address a gender inequality problem. And, these business leaders draw from their own personal experiences, sharing strategies for effective networking and how they advanced in their careers while managing work/life balance.
