Cookie Notice

Effective: November 8, 2021

This Cookie Notice explains how Workday, Inc. and its affiliates (“Workday,” “we,” “us,”and “ours”) use cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to recognize you when you visit a Workday website that links to thePrivacy Statement(“Website”). It explains what Cookie technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed or accessed on your device when you visit websites or other digital properties. Some digital properties, such as mobile applications, may use similar but different technologies (such as pixels or SDKs) but, for ease of reference, we will use the term “Cookie” to include these technologies too. Digital property owners can use Cookies for a variety of reasons, such as enabling their digital properties to work (or work more efficiently), providing personalized content and advertising, and creating analytics.

Cookies set by the digital property owner (in this case, Workday) are called “first-party cookies.” Only the digital property owner can access the first-party Cookies it sets. Cookies set by parties other than the digital property owner are called “third-party Cookies.” Third-party Cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the digital property (such as advertising, interactive content, and social sharing). The parties that set these third-party Cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the digital property in question and also when it visits other digital properties that have partnered with them.

Why do we use Cookies on Workday Websites?

We use first-party and third-party Cookies for three main purposes:

  • Required Cookies are necessary to manage the Website, and enable basic features of the Website to function.
  • Functional Cookies allow us to analyze your use of the Website to evaluate and improve our performance. They may also be used to provide a better customer experience on the Website. For example, remembering that you’ve completed a form, or providing us information about how our site is used.
  • Advertising Cookies allow us to better understand your interests and show you ads that are more relevant to you. For example, these Cookies may be used to share data with advertisers so that the ads you see are more relevant to you and allow you to share certain pages with social networks.

The specific first- and third-party Cookies served through our Websites are listed in our “Cookie Preferences” manager, which you can access by clicking the link located in the footer of our Website.

What about other tracking technologies?

As noted above, Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to our Website. We may use other similar technologies from time to time, such as web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Website or opened an email that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Website to another, to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies rely on Cookies to function properly, and so declining Cookies will often impair their functioning.

How can you control Cookies?

Depending where you are located, you may have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential Cookies. In these locations, we will not set Cookies unless you enable them or they are essential for the Website to work. You can exercise your Cookie preferences through our “Cookie Preferences” manager (link located in the footer of our Website).

您还可以设置或修改web浏览器控制s to accept or refuse Cookies. If you choose to reject Cookies, you may still use our Website, although your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse Cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information.

In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please visitaboutads.info/choices/oryouronlinechoices.com.

What about Do Not Track (DNT)?

Workday does not respond to browser DNT signals. We will continue to monitor further development of a DNT standard by the privacy community and industry.

Where can you get further information?

If you have questions about our use of Cookies or other technologies, please contact us as provided in ourPrivacy Statement.
